FlightLog — Disclaimer
Not a navigation aid
FlightLog is not certified aviation software or equipment. It must not be used as a primary means of navigation, nor to keep clear of terrain, obstacles, airspace or other traffic.
Always plan and fly with official and current aeronautical information — the AIP, NOTAMs and approved charts — and with the aircraft's own certified instruments. Follow air traffic control and the rules of the air that apply.
The pilot in command remains solely responsible for the preparation and safe conduct of every flight.
What the app shows
The aeronautical chart, airspace, airfields, runways, frequencies, reporting points, weather reports and forecasts, and the positions of other aircraft come from third parties, among them open flightmaps, openAIP, OurAirports, aviationweather.gov, KNMI, the Open Glider Network and your club's GlidingApp administration. This information can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, for example when a stored chart belongs to an earlier AIRAC cycle or there is no connection.
KrimSoft cannot vouch for the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of any data the app shows.
What the app works out
Takeoffs, landings, flight times, circuits, launch methods, routes, distances and times en route are worked out by the app from the phone's sensors, and can be wrong. Readings taken from photos of an hour meter or a logbook page can be misread.
Check every flight before you rely on it in your logbook, for your licence or currency, on the club's daily card, or for billing. Your official logbook remains your own responsibility.
In the cockpit
Do not let the phone distract you, least of all during takeoff, landing or any other critical phase of flight. Secure it so it cannot interfere with the controls.
At your own risk
You use FlightLog entirely at your own risk. To the extent the law allows, KrimSoft accepts no liability for any damage or loss resulting from its use, as set out in the Terms of Use.
